11.27.24

Today is Wednesday, November 27th, and these are the top stories making headlines halfway through the week:

  • Reports indicate this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will feature the largest collection of clowns ever with over 700. So, if you’re wondering what the theme is this year — it’s nightmares.

  • The world's oldest man, John Tinniswood of England, has passed away at 112. In accordance with his final wish, a letter was delivered to the world’s second oldest man reading “You’re next.”

  • Dictionary.com announced 'demure' as its Word of the Year for 2024 — and while they didn’t make an official announcement, I’m sure Thesaurus.com had something similar.

  • According to the password management app NordPass, for the fifth consecutive year, “123456” is the most common password. NordPass says instead of numbers, try a phrase, preferably one you would never be associated with saying, like President Trump’s “I LOVE YOU SON.”

  • On Monday, Krispie Kreme unveiled new holiday donuts inspired by Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Krispie Kreme says for every box purchased they take a toy from a tot.
